Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how BestHand US LLC ("BestHand"), located at 502 W 7th St, Ste 100, Erie, PA 16502, collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use our website, apps, and services. By using the Platform, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

Account details (name, email, phone, password), profile information, addresses and job details, photos and messages, reviews, and payment information you submit (processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers).

Information collected automatically

Device and usage data (IP address, device identifiers, app version, pages viewed), and, with your permission, approximate or precise location to match you with nearby jobs or Pros.

Information from third parties

Identity-verification and background-check results for Pros (via our vendors), and information from payment, mapping, and communications providers.

2. How we use information

  • Operate the Platform — create accounts, match Customers and Pros, process bookings and payments;
  • Communicate with you, including service messages, receipts, and (with consent) marketing and SMS;
  • Provide support and resolve disputes, refunds, and chargebacks;
  • Protect safety and security, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms;
  • Verify identity and eligibility, including background checks for Pros;
  • Improve, personalize, and develop features; and comply with legal obligations.

3. How we share information

We share information: between Customers and Pros as needed to perform a job (for example, name, job location, and contact for an active booking); with service providers acting on our behalf (payments via Stripe, hosting, mapping, communications, analytics, background-check vendors); to comply with law or lawful requests; to protect rights and safety; and in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We do not sell your personal information for money.

4. SMS & communications

If you opt in to SMS, we send transactional and, with consent, promotional messages. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. See our SMS Consent page for details. Opting out of marketing does not stop essential service messages.

5. Cookies & tracking

We and our partners use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure performance, and improve the Platform. You can control cookies through your browser settings; some features may not work without them.

6. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Platform, comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. We then delete or de-identify it.

7. Security

We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and tokenized payments via Stripe. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices & rights

Depending on where you live (for example, California or other U.S. states), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain sharing or targeted advertising. To exercise these rights, contact contact@besthandapp.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may also update most information in your account settings.

9. Children’s privacy

The Platform is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes & contact
