Independent-contractor status
Pros are independent contractors, not employees, agents, partners, or joint venturers of BestHand. Nothing in our agreements creates an employment relationship. Pros decide whether, when, and which jobs to accept, and are free to provide services through other channels.
Your business, your control
- You set your availability and accept or decline jobs at your discretion;
- You provide your own tools, equipment, transportation, and any helpers;
- You control how you perform the work, consistent with the Customer’s request and the law;
- You are responsible for your own business expenses.
Taxes & compliance
You are solely responsible for reporting and paying all taxes on your earnings and for obtaining any licenses, permits, registrations, and insurance required by law. BestHand does not withhold taxes. You may receive tax forms (such as a 1099) as required.
No employee benefits
As an independent contractor, you are not entitled to employee benefits such as workers’ compensation, unemployment, health insurance, or paid leave from BestHand.
Verification & standards
You agree to identity verification and background checks (see our Background Check Policy) and to perform services lawfully, safely, and professionally. Failure to meet Platform standards may result in suspension or removal.
