What we check
Before a Pro can accept jobs, we use third-party vendors to verify identity and screen background records to the extent permitted by law. Screenings may include identity verification and criminal-records checks consistent with applicable federal, state, and local laws, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) where it applies.
Consent & fairness
Pros provide consent before a background check is performed. We apply screening criteria consistently and in compliance with anti-discrimination and "ban-the-box"/fair-chance laws where applicable. A background check is one safeguard and is not a guarantee of any individual’s future conduct.
Important limitations
No screening process is perfect. BestHand does not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of third-party records, and verification does not make BestHand responsible for a Pro’s conduct. Always use the in-app tools, communicate through the Platform, and report concerns to support@besthandapp.com.
